Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire -

Bourton Half Marathon - Sunday 28th September 2025 at 9:00AM

The Bourton Half Marathon follows an accurately measured 13.1 mile route through the amazing Cotswolds countryside around Bourton-on-the-Water. It is a single lap route on undulating, sometimes hilly, rural roads with some spectacular views en route.

Congratulations to Dylan Gillet of Weston Tempo, who won the 2025 Bourton Half in a new course record of 1:10:06, and to Megan Marchant also of Weston Tempo who finished in 1:21:42, smashing the women’s course record. We have added a few photos from the 2025 race and will be adding more shortly.

Race timing was again provided by LuSH Timing and the final results for the 2025 are available download  .

The route takes runners through the beautiful centre of Bourton on the Water and across the river before taking on The Steeps, the first of three major hills, and then follows country lanes out to the picturesque village of Farmington where you’ll meet the second hill. Follow along more country lanes to the lovely village of Sherborne before looping back up the third climb to the village of Clapton-on-the-Hill and then a long well-earned downhill back into Bourton-on-the-Water for the finish.

A map of the route can be viewed via a downloadable GPX file is available to here.
