Despite the demands on everyone’s time in the run-up to the festive period, with last-minutes shopping, carol concerts and family, enthusiastic Bourton Roadrunners managed to find some time for a weekly parkrun, at the following venues:
Despite a busy seasonal calendar, club members still managed to squeeze in a parkrun this weekend and could be found at the following venues:
Bicester: Claire Louise Carroll - 27:55 (VW60/2).
Chipping Norton School: Jenny Evanson, officiating as Tail Runner, was joined by her son Jethro, who was also volunteering as part of his
Duke of Edinburgh’s Award work- 45:45 (VW55/3).
Evesham: Alex Wilson - 28:38 (VM60/2).
King George V Playing Field, Cheltenham: Chris Dry - 30:08 (VM60/2).
Longrun Meadow, Taunton: Steph Holton - 25:53 (VW60/2), Garry Holton - 31:05.
Riverfront, Newport: Jaq Underwood - 26:40 (VW55/2).
Salcey Forest, Northamptonshire: Susan Hunt - 26:37 (VW55/1).
Stratford-upon-Avon: Tony Goodwill – 26:18.
Wimbledon Common: Eva Shoemark - 27:10 (SW25/1).
Witney: Louise Hamilton-Smith - 31:51, Liz Hulcup - 31:52 (VW70/1), Kate Price - 37:50.

Annual Tinsel Run - 17th December 2024
At least forty Bourton Roadrunners joined up for the annual club Tinsel Run, traditionally run on the last Tuesday before Christmas. Visiting as many parts of the village, stopping for a few fun photos and a couple of Christmas Carols outside properties displaying Christmas lights and decorations. The assembled them retire to the Kingsbridge for a swift drink and awarding of remaining club trophies and the like.
