Barkeley 10k - 14th May 2018
Tim Carter gave a strong performance at the Berkeley 10k, after returning from a long injury, by finishing 5th overall in the race, and 3rd senior man, in a time of 34:38. This race is always competitive and Tim faced some strong competition competition for this evening race.
Steph Lane was the second Bourton runner to finish, returning to her sub-40 minute form and finishing 3rd lady in 39:18.
Darren Long showed grit by battling on this warn evening to achieve a fine 39:58 (i.e. under the 40-minute bench-mark that all club runners seek to attain on a regular basis.
A total of 10 Bourton Roadrunners took in the Berkeley 10k, which is was the 2nd race in the Club’s 6-from-10 race series. Chris Lomax continues his racing ability, finishing in a creditable 42:53. Others included Margaret Hollumby (2nd LV60), Graham Lane 50:29; Nick Harper 52:42; Liz Hulcup (1st LV65), 53:12; Dave Turnbull 55:54; and Linda Edwards, 56:20.
