Welcome to Bourton Roadrunners Website

Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire -

Eynsham 10k - 25th November 2018

It was a good day for Bourton Roadrunners at the Eynsham 10k, with a string of personal best times (PB’s). First Bourton runner home, with an impressive 7th place from a field of 596 finishers, was Cal Winwood with a PB of 34:14. Darren Long, who is in training for the Malaga Marathon finished next, 37:20, just missing his PB.

Martin Cook had yet another fine run in 40:03, narrowly missing his target of sub-40, but a season’s best. Niamh Shoemark, first club lady, looked good, finishing in 41:11. Andy Peaston achieved 43:22 and chasing him was Ben, 44:47 (PB).

Gill Carrick in her first race in 14 months after a long injury was happy with her time of 54:35, accompanied by club-mate Tony Goodwill. Looking strong through-out was Ian Tolfts, 49:30, knocking 33 seconds off his previous best time. Chris Dry completed the race, although carrying an injury, in 56:45.

The first pair of “running buddies” were Lynn Hudson and Shirley Creed, 59:13 followed closely by the other pair of Ellen, 1:06:15 (PB) and Donna Harper, 1:06:19. Looking strong at the finish was Alison Tighe, completing her first 10k race for many years, in a respectable 1:06:54.

This event concludes the clubs’ 2018 6-from-10 race competition series; many thanks to all those who supported the series.
