Gloucester 20m - 25th March 2018

Bourton Roadrunners complete marathon training, with three Bourton Roadrunners taking on the Gloucester 20 mile road race on Sunday 25 March. For all three, it was the final part of preparing for the Manchester marathon on 8 April.

Enjoying some spring sunshine for a change, David Rees was first home in a terrific time of 2:47:32. He was followed by Chris Dry in 3:11:50 and Linda Edward in 3:17:27. Catch a short slide-show of our runners by clicking on the thumb-nail to the right.


British Age Group Duathlon Championships and Schools International Athletics Board competition - 24th/25th March 2018

Double gold for Bourton Roadrunners.

Margaret Hollamby cruised to victory in the 2018 British Age Group Standard Distance Duathlon Championships at the Bedford Autodrome. She covered the 10k run, 40k bike and 5k run in 2:29:53 and is well on her way to her longer-term aim to enter the world duathlon competition in 2019. Catch the photo gallery below.

Meanwhile, Bourton Junior Kiya Dee came 7th and was part of the winning U15 England team at the Schools International Athletics Board (SIAB) competition seeing off runners from Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. Catch the Facepage for some photos.
