Stratford AC Not The Roman IX - 17 January 2016
Some of runners decided to get out racing early in preparations for the upcoming county championship season.
Susan Hunt and Linda Edwards headed off to Stratford for the Roman 12km, with Susan flying round in 58 min36 and 4th vet 50 and ever-improving Linda with yet another PB in 1hr 7 min.
Arizona Rock ‘n’ Roll 10k - 17 January 2016
Gary and Steph Holton headed much further afield taking part in the Arizona 10km while on holiday. An amazing effort by Steph to finish 1st vet 50 (in a field of 192); 17th lady overall (out of 2081) and 75th overall in a field of 3076 runners - wow! Not to be outdone, Gary recorded yet another PB, finishing 120 man (out of 995) and 183rd of the 3076 runners.
Enigma Winter Marathon (2nd January) and Marato Costa Dorada, Tarragona, Spain - 17 January 2016
One runner who never rests in our very own marathon man and chairman Steve Edwards who completed his 711th and 712th marathons ( no not a misprint 712 marathons !!!!)
After some support and motivation, Steve acheived a well-deserved 2nd place in 3 hours 22 minutes at the Enigma Winter marathon.
Steve also put-in a great performance in the Marato Costa Dorada, Tarragona, Spain, where he finsihed in 3 hours 17 minutes.
Highlights
Wow! Marathon speacialist Steve Edwards completes full-marathon number 712 at the Marato Costa Dorada, Tarragona, Spain; finishing in a very respectable 3 hours 22 minutes.
Susan Hunt and Linda Edwards braved the cold to give fine performances at Not The Roman IX, Stratford-upon-Avon.
Gary and Steph Holton might be on holiday in the USA, but they still sought-out and excelled at the Arizona Rock ‘n’ Roll 10k; well done guys.
