Cologne Marathon and Half - 4 October 2015
The annual club trip took place in Cologne, where a Half Marathon and Marathon was on offer.
In the Half, Linda Edwards ran yet another PB 2:03:08, Steph Holton ran a seasons-best time of 1:41:58, Graham Lane 1:47:45 and Pete Scarrot started at the back and passed around 3,000 runners to finish in 1:45:00.
In the Marathon, Mike Smith ran a comfortable 2:57:08, Ewen Smith continued his mission for a sub-3 hour marathon, with an oh-so-close 3:01:39, Susan Hunt ran 3:52:22 and Gary Holton smashed his Half Marathon PB on his way to completing his first marathon in 4:49:08.
Gary’s debut marathon earned him the Dennis Abbotts trophy for the outstanding performance on the club trip.
