Eynsham 10k - 28th November 2010

In below freezing conditions Bourton Roadrunners had some brilliant results at the Eynsham 10 km.

17 year old Lewis Gray ran the race of his life to take a massive 58 seconds off his pb in 34 minutes 57 seconds, 17th place and 2nd junior. Ewen Smith was next in, happy with 37 minutes 12 seconds. Lucy Walmsley led the ladies home with an impressive time of 39 minutes 23 seconds also collecting the 3rd vet 35 prize. Mike Hobbs ran a respectable 39 minutes 31 seconds.

Sarah Harper was ecstatic with her best time in 12 years, running just over 40 minutes in 40:16. Beth Pudifoot was 1st junior lady in 41 minutes 25 seconds, followed by her dad Mike in a good time of 43 minutes 5 seconds.

An emotional Liz Hulcup ran a superb race to - like Lewis - smash her pb by 58 seconds and claim the vet 55 ladies prize.

Ali Lane ran a great race in 46 minutes 56 seconds and is well on the way back. Shirley was next in 50 minutes feeling the cold. Steph Holton anther to run a superb race and massive pb in 50 minutes 33 seconds. Lyn Hudson had a strong race for 52 minutes 7 seconds.

Chris Bence ran well for 52 minutes 54 seconds. Chris Lomax stormed through his first-ever race, hoping to break the hour; he actually ran an impressive 53 minutes 40 seconds. Gary Holton finished off for Bourton with 57 minutes 44 seconds, his best for some time.


Schools County Cross-country Championships - 4th December 2010

Bourton Juniors put up some brave performances at the schools county cross country championships in Cheltenham on Saturday.

Lewis Grey came in 5th with a solid run after last weeks success. Connor Shoemark ran really strong for 8th position. Cameron Williamson ran a great tactical race for 16th position.

In the girls race Bet Pudifoot ran a gutsy race to finish 4th.
