Mallards Pike 5 & Fun Run - 17th June

Ewen Smith increased his lead still further in Bourton Roadrunner's Road Race Series, finishing 8th overall with a time of 30:24, in the Mallards Pike 5 mile off-road race Wednesday evening. Ian Shoemark moved up to 2nd place with a strong run just 3 places behind in 31:42.

Brittany Teague was in the prizes finishing 3rd lady and first Bourton female, with a fast time of 33:21.

Justin Launchbury is continually improving with a time of 33:53. The Bourton vets battled for position, with Brian Hulcup leading in 34:57, Norm Lane close behind in 35:03 and John Gibson just dropping off the pace in the last mile with 35:18. Ali Lane came in next with a time of 35:33, closely chased by Niamh Shoemark 35:47 and Roger Woodley 35:48.

Next in came Julia Rutherford 37:29. Chris Bence 38:15 committed himself from the start, speeding off at the gun and maintaining his position at the front of his regular rivals, while Conor Shoemark, running in his first senior race, did superbly for 38:30.

Other results are Eddie Rozier 38:38, Shirley Creed 38:57, Susan Hunt 39:05, Simon Rutherford 39:10, Liz Hulcup 39:34, Lynn Hudson 39:51, Gill Carrick 43:20 and Bert Jess 44:16.

Kieran Shoemark found the Fun Run rather short for him, but still came in 3rd and with Eva Shoemark also running, the family were out in force. Jake Launchbury, Edward Hunt and Christopher Hunt all finished strongly.
