Welcome to Bourton Roadrunners' Website
Founded in 1981, we are a small friendly club in the Cotswolds that welcomes all runners whatever their abilities. Whether you are training for a marathon, the local village fun-run, or you run just to keep fit, you will be made welcome.
Club members compete in road races throughout the year and cross-country events during the winter months. We are affiliated to the Gloucestershire AAA and UK Athletics.
The club meets: Every Tuesday & Thursday
7pm for a short 2 - 3 miles
7:30pm for a longer run of 7 - 8 miles
(1st Thursday of month this is replaced by a 5 mile run).
We meet regardless of the weather; the only exception is Christmas day!
Venue: Bourton Rovers
Football Club, Bourton-on-the-Water.
Please note that Bourton Rovers Football Club is to commence extensive building works from May 2010, during the “close season”. Bourton Roadrunners has arranged for its training evenings during this period, from 18th May, to meet and change at the Cotswold School, on Station Road, Bourton-on-the-Water. Men and ladies changing and shower facilities are available halfway along the car park side of the school. A “doorman” will be in attendance for the first couple of sessions to ensure no-one accidentally joins in with the rehearsals of A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream! Door opens 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday and 7 p.m. on Thursday.
