Whilst the route for the 2020 race remained unchanged, our race HQ was at Bourton Vale Cricket Club, Rissington Road, Bourton on the Water, GL54 2AY.

Congratulations to Ed Banks of Birchfield Harriers (31:04), the 2019 race winner, and Rachel Felton (35:15) of Shaftsbury Barnet Harriers, first lady. Both are pictured below with 100m to go.

There were many groups of club runners, each with their own targets, who supported the race as usual. Read our race report and catch a few photos of us too.

The annual Bourton 10k is supported by Highbridge Jewellers, who have provided financial backing to stage the race for a number of years, and to whom we are very garteful.

Charity support

We are proud to be supporting Parkingson's UK (A registered charity in England and Wales (258197) and in Scotland (SC037554)) and North Cotswold Foodbank (Registered charity in England and Wales (1181310)). Bourton Roadrunners Club will be contributing to both charities from the race proceeds; however, if you would like to support them personally in their valuable work you may dononate via Race Nation’s secure webpage. All donations are gratefully received.

Prize Giving

We aim to present prizes to the race category winners at the Race HQ, which is at the Bourton Vale Cricket Club, Rissington Road, as close to 11:30am as possible.

Barry Cornelius, a private photographer, has kindly been taking photographs at our 10k race, and other local events, for a number of years; and he will be joining us again in 2020. These photographs may be downloaded for free from his website. Please read the associated notes within the Race Information sheet and on his website. Thank you Barry.

We were proud to have supported Pancreatic Cancer UK with a donation of £4,325 from the proceeds of the 2019 Bourton 10k race, which included contributions made by runners in addition to their entry fee.
