Bourton Half Marathon - Sunday 29th September 2024 at 9:00AM

The Bourton Half Marathon follows an accurately measured 13.1 mile route through the amazing Cotswolds countryside around Bourton-on-the-Water. It is a single lap route on undulating, sometimes hilly, rural roads with some spectacular views en route.

Entry to the 2024 Bourton Half is now open via the Race Nation secure portal.

The Bourton Half is part of the Gloucester AAA 2024 Road Racing Series and incorporates the Gloucestershire County Half Marathon championships. 1st prize in the men’s and women’s races is £100 each. There are cash prizes for the first three men, women and first team (of three) and prizes for the winner of each of the 10 year veteran categories. Only one prize per competitor, excluding team prize.

There will be a bonus prize for anyone able to set a new course record on this challenging course. The current course records are:
Female - 94 minutes and 9 seconds - Jane Fairbairn, Cheltenham & County Harriers 2023
Male - 70 minutes and 59 seconds - Ben Robinson, Bristol and West 2023

All finishers will be given access to a priority entry to the Bourton 10k next February.

Race timing is being provided by LuSH Timing with live results available at the finish line and then, once validated, on the website. Prior to the race, we will provide links here for both the LIVE RESULTS and PUBLISHED RESULTS.

The route takes runners through the beautiful centre of Bourton on the Water and across the river before taking on The Steeps, the first of two major hills, and eventually out to the picturesque villages of Farmington and Sherborne. The route then loops back up the second major climb to the village of Clapton-on-the-Hill and then a well earned downhill back into Bourton-on-the-Water for the finish.

We will shortly be uploading a Runner Information document, providing key information about the event, for you to download.

All finishers will receive a memento to recognise their achievement.
